Global POSEvery store. One platform.

Your Global POS guide

Find the right store, compare published products and shop with confidence.

Start here

  1. Open Global POS and allow location access, or enter a store address manually.
  2. Check the store name and address before browsing its inventory.
  3. Search for a product or open the marketplace to browse participating stores.
  4. Add items to a basket for one store. Checkout is available only where the merchant has enabled it.

You can browse and use guest checkout without a business account. Business signup is for people who want to manage stores; it creates a separate tenant for that business.

Find the correct store

Tap Use my location to suggest registered active stores ordered by distance. Your browser controls location permission. The nearest registered store can still be far away: always confirm its address.

To choose manually, enter the store name, address, city or postcode under Store address, city or postcode, then select a matching store. This address search checks registered records; it does not geocode arbitrary addresses.

When permitted location finds no registered store within 500 metres, an Ansible lookup searches online store listings. Rounded coordinates are shared with OpenStreetMap’s Overpass service. You can accept a finding for this visit or decline it. Use manual address selection if you do not want this online location lookup.

Search by item or description

  1. Under What are you shopping for?, enter a product name, barcode or description such as “bottled water”.
  2. Choose whether to also search online store listings, then tap Find nearby products and stores. Nearby product search needs device location permission.
  3. Review merchant matches within 10 km: store address, distance, published price and stock.
  4. Tap Enter store and shop to open the store’s inventory and available checkout.

Use a shorter description if no match appears; matching uses words in the product name or barcode. The barcode field is typed input, not a camera scanner. Prices use the store’s currency. Search results can change, and the server checks current prices and availability when preparing checkout.

Build a basket and pay

  1. Open a store and use Add to basket. A basket belongs to one store; changing stores may require starting a new basket.
  2. Select a payment gateway, enter your receipt email and read and accept the linked shopper agreement.
  3. Tap Prepare checkout. Review the server-confirmed amount, currency and order status.
  4. Use Continue to payment provider if offered. Enter payment details on the payment provider’s page.
  5. Return and use Check payment status. Keep the same browser tab/session so its order-access key remains available.

If checkout is disabled, the store may not have enabled marketplace shopping or a payment gateway. Browsing and searching do not place an order or authorize a charge. Do not pay a second time just because an order remains pending: ask the store to reconcile it first.

An order screen, redirect or screenshot is not an exit-verification receipt. Follow the store’s process and have staff confirm payment before leaving with goods. Camera scanning, automatic payment and exit-receipt scanning are not available in this release.

Understand online findings

Possible online sellers are suggested from listing names and categories. They do not confirm that a requested product is sold or in stock. Missing prices or stock mean “unavailable”, not zero.

Select or decline a candidate. Where a secure website is listed, Open store website to browse and shop opens that independent website in another tab. Review its identity, current prices and terms. Global POS does not automate purchases or confirm payment on an unconnected merchant website.

Try the demo or install the app

Try the demo to explore sample stores and simulated payments. The demo sign-in is prefilled; it cannot affect live stores or make real purchases. Do not enter real personal information.

Install Global POS using the instructions for your device. This is an installable web app. Inventory, search and payments require an internet connection; the offline page does not provide saved stock or payment confirmation.

Common questions

Location is denied or inaccurate

Check browser location permission or choose a store by address. Confirm the address even when a distance is shown.

No products or online stores appear

Try fewer words, choose another store or search the marketplace. Listings have limited coverage and the online provider may be temporarily unavailable.

I paid but the order is pending

Use Check payment status and contact the store with your order ID. Avoid creating another payment while the first is unresolved. Do not share passwords, card details or the order-access key.

I need a refund or account help

Contact the identified store through its independently verified contact details for purchases. For business account access, contact your provisioning administrator. Refunds and password recovery are not self-service workflows here.
